Tommie was the best of us. Always the optimist, he saw the good in everyone and everything. The wisest and kindest of men. And the most generous partner. Think where mans glory begins and ends, and say my glory was to have such friends.

Such sad news yesterday sent from Ireland. We have so many stories, laughs, discussions especially with the All Ireland School Choirs Competition traveling all over the Country promoting singing in Schools. He loved this project and both you Moya and Joe grew up with us on those 6 weeks every year AND not to forget Cearas wonderful cooking always on the Final
nights.
A sad day for you all, its hard to believe, he always picked himself up and his intense love for you three was clearly what kept him going.
Ill sing a wee song when watching on Saturday.
Take care - Angela

Sincere condolences to Tommie's family on his death at such a young age. I have very happy memories of chatting with Tommie and his friend Adrian as my friend Rose and I walked part of The Camino with them in 2012/13. Tommie subsequently invited us to the All Ireland Choir final in Belfast later that year.
He was a truly amazing man, an outstanding journalist with such a wonderful capacity to see situations from all angles and with such a zest for life.
May his gentle soul now rest in peace

On behalf of the Fallon family in Glasgow, I wanted to express how sad we are at the loss of Tommie, one of the most complete and most thoughtful gentlemen, weve had the pleasure of knowing.
He was taken far too young however his legacy will last for many many years to come.
The plans and initiatives he has left in place to develop his beloved Sligo Rovers is something he will look down upon with pride.
Rovers were second only to his love for his family. We wish them well and hope that they take comfort from the many expressions of love and admiration for Tommie that they will witness over the next few, difficult days, and beyond.
RIP Tommie.

Dear Ceara, Moyà and Joe
We are deeply saddened by the passing of our dear friend Tommie and want to send you our sincere condolences at this sad time for your family. Tommie was a wonderful friend to us and so many others, stretching back over decades. It was always a joy for us to catch up with him in Sligo or elsewhere and we will miss his sparkling company and joie de vivre. We will cherish always the many memories we have of the great times we spent in Tommie's company. We are so sorry not to be able to make the funeral but the Aer Lingus strike has made it impossible to get a flight from Edinburgh (where we now live) to Dublin. Love Greta and Dan xx
