Burgess, Mary (née Culkin), Creggconnell, Rosses Point, Co.Sligo and formerly of Ryehill, Co.Galway, May 17th 2024, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in the exemplary care of the staff of Nazareth Nursing Care, Church Hill, Sligo. Predeceased by her infant son Darragh. Dearly loved wife of Joe and mother to Siobhan (OConnor), Niall, Thora (Sinnott) and Mary (Tuthill). Sadly missed by her loving family, daughter-in- law Elizabeth, sons-in-law Donald, Niall and Jason, grandchildren Molly, Luke, Grace, Caedan, Adam, Neela, Edie, Maeve, Paddy, Simone, Mya, Allie, Blaise, sisters Kathleen Feerick and Norrie McKeogh, brother Padraig, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and her wide circle of friends.
May she Rest in Peace.
Reposing at Nazareth Chapel, Church Hill, Sligo (F91 A243) on Monday, May 20th, from 6pm until 8pm. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 21st, at 12 noon in Saint Columbas Church, Rosses Point, Co.Sligo followed by burial in Rosses Point Cemetery. Family flowers only. Dear Cousin Joe & all the Burgess family. So sorry to hear the news about Mary passing away - both Jan & I were both saddened when we found out. She was a nice lady & always a pleasure & delight to be with like the rest of the Burgess clan. I dug out some photos ( they were in colour) of my Mum & Dad plus Eta & Dennis at your glamourous wedding. You were certainly trend setting by getting married around the swinging sixties in swinging London such a colourful event. I would loved to have been there at the funeral but only found out late Sunday & it always amazes me that you dont hang about in Ireland. But our thoughts are with you all on the day I wish you a nice funeral & hope you have a good sendoff for Mary. We will raise a glass to the Burgess family on the day. God bless Mary & RIP.
